New Volunteer Induction
Resources for the Induction of New Volunteers to Abingdon RDA
Welcome to Abingdon RDA
You will soon be visiting Abingdon RDA to find out all about us and where and when you would most like to help us.
In the run up to that, please would you review the three documents below.
And at the bottom, full details of how to find us.
Your Training
Your Green Card
This document contains pretty comprehensive information about what you will be doing when you get here. It can be a little daunting if this is all quite new to you, and fairly obvious if you are experienced!
Your Green Card is your training record, and you will complete the start of it on your first visit.
Safety
Our Safety Policy
Please have a look at our Safety Policy, it shows how we are managing safety. After you join us, there will be much more “on the ground” safety to learn about and we will make sure that this is fully addressed.
Keeping everyone's welfare safe
Safeguarding
At Abingdon RDA, the safety and wellbeing of everyone involved in our activities is a priority. We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for all riders, volunteers and visitors. Our Safeguarding Policy explains how we work to protect children and adults from harm.
